After completing a Bachelor of Sports Management at Edith Cowan University (ECU), she later joined MiClub as a support agent in 2016. What do you love about Joondalup CC?
“I love the variety of playing a 27-hole course. It’s also great that we have a ladies competition on a Saturday afternoon. Quite a few golf clubs in Perth still don’t allow Ladies to play on a Saturday, so as someone that works full-time, this is an important option. Every day at Joondalup is different and each nine has a unique style and challenge. Joondalup can be setup in a number of different ways with a large variety of tee blocks and pin positions, so you always need to be on the top of your game.”
How long have you played golf?
“Since I was about 12. My family is very into golf. My Mum and Dad both play golf as members at Sutton Coldfield Golf Club. My grandpa, uncle, and cousin are also members there. I always enjoy going back to England and challenging my Uncle and Cousin with my Dad.”
How often do you play golf?
“Twice a week. Thursday and Saturday.”
What do you love about the sport?
“I love the challenge against myself to constantly improve and get my handicap down. Also, you meet so many different people playing golf.”
What has been the highlight of your golf career so far?
“Making the final of the club championships in 2016. Unfortunately lost in the final.”
How can we encourage more women and juniors to get involved in golf?
Need to make golf more affordable and accessible.
