In reference to today's memorandum distributed by Golf Australia regarding the Retirement of GOLF Link and transition to GolfConnect, please reference the following information regarding the use of the MiClub golf management system and OneGolf System during this changeover period.

MiClub is in the final stages of completing the required integration work and will be ready for the transition the first week of December 2024.

Overview:

With the GolfLink system being retired, MiClub has completed the required integration work to connect to the new GolfConnect System. Whilst there are some changes all major daily golf operation functionality will remain within the MiClub Golf / OneGolf systems. 

The applicable changes to procedures for handicap management and competition score submission will be advised to all clubs in due course and supported by a range of training and associated guides. 

There will be no changes to functionality or scoring processes within the MiScore App.

Following the transition from GolfLink to GolfConnect:

• All Competitions will continue to be managed directly in MiClub Golf / OneGolf.
• The allocation, and processes regarding GolfID (formally GolfLink Number) will remain in MiClub Golf / OneGolf.
• GolfConnect will be accessed directly for adding and changing course information, these changes will need to also be configured in MiClub Golf / OneGolf.

Please find below a preliminary description of the changeover process, we will provide further details in the coming weeks.

During the transition period:

The MiClub Golf / OneGolf and MiScore app will remain fully functional however there will be a period of up to 2 weeks from the evening of 1 December in which there will be no access to update retrieve/update handicaps. Should the handicapping services be available sooner, we will advise.

During this period, we encourage all clubs to run non-handicapped events and advise members accordingly. While the MiClub Golf / OneGolf systems will continue to offer full functionality in respect to competition scoring and prize allocations during this period, please note that competitions completed during this transition phase will NOT be able to be handicapped.

Important Transition information:

On the implementation of GolfConnect, all tasks related to course setup and maintenance will be managed via the GolfConnect portal which will be available to all clubs. These tasks include the following:

• Hole distances, pars and indexes
• Creation of temporary holes and associated courses
• All ratings related to current and temporary course 

Golf Australia will advise clubs directly regarding access to the GolfConnect portal and associated procedures for the management of course setups which will be facilitated by Golf Australia. 

The MiClub Golf / OneGolf systems will receive these course updates directly through the new GolfConnect interface. 

Course information:

MiClub will supply Golf Australia your current course hole by hole course data which will be imported into GolfConnect in preparation for the system transition.

There should be no need to create new courses in GolfConnect prior to the transition date. If a course is not listed in GolfConnect please call the MiClub support desk for assistance.

Competition Setup after the transition period:

Please refrain from setting up competitions within MiClub Golf / OneGolf systems during the advised transition period from 1 December through to 14 December 2024. These competitions will need to be created once the new handicap requirements have been implemented and GolfConnect is fully activated.

• Training videos on key processes
• Help guides
